Frimley Green Carnival 2019

Held on the 14th July, the 2019 Frimley Green Carnival was a great success. Though it was frequently overcast, luckily there was no rain this year. The Carnival had a large and enthusiastic crowd, a tremendous Carnival Procession with some really original floats. The Procession was led by cars carrying the Mayor of Surrey Heath, Robin Perry, see some of the photos below of the Procession.

There were a great variety of stalls amongst which was the Society's. The Society ran a successful "Games of Phones" treasure hunt where participants had to guess where the 3 public phone were situated in the Mytchett, Frimley Green and Deepcut area. The prize was a hamper of goodies kindly donated by Frimley Green Co-operative Funeralcare and was won by a local resident Wendy.

A varied and entertaining program of events took place in the central arena on the Green - dance troups, martial arts, competitions ending with an exciting football match between junior teams representing Arsenal and West Ham, refereed by SHBC Honorary Alderman Alan Whittart.

Finally thanks should be given to Mandy Withers and the Frimley Green Carnival Committee who as usual did a fantastic job in organising and running the carnival.
