Frimley Green Carnival on Sunday 14th July 2024

Welcome to the 47th Frimley Green Carnival. Our carnival theme this year is "80 Days Around the World", a topic
which should provide much scope and enjoyment for our procession entrants.
This year's procession will be judged by Surrey Heath Mayor Cllr. Sarbie Kang. Come along and support our carnival procession entries. A lot of time and effort goes into putting them together. A big part of the occasion is also the cheering and support that they receive along the route. Once again, I would like to thank our sponsor, Truglaze, whose contribution helps to finance the free entertainments we offer on Carnival day. Thank you also to the local companies who have advertised in this programme, Road Stewards for delivering it and selling raffle tickets, the procession entrants, stallholders, those who are performing in the Arena and those who have given their assistance in support of the Carnival including those who have helped set up and run the event. I would like to remind you that we distribute our surplus funds too local organisations at our AGM in November. Most of the money is donated and distributed in response to suggestions we receive from local people over the course of the year. On pages 12 and 13 you will see information about last year's donations made. The carnival committee is always keen to welcome new members and helpers. If you would like to join us, or simply lend a hand when needed, please contact me. Finally, I would like to say have a wonderful carnival day, fingers crossed for sunshine and see you there.
